Former Real Madrid player Sergio Reguilón has entered Barcelona’s list of desired players this summer to strengthen the left-back position.
It is unlikely that João Cancelo will return to the Catalan club, leaving Alejandro Balde as the sole left-back without a real replacement.
Sky Sports reported that Barcelona has inquired about the possibility of signing Reguilón, who is still under contract with Tottenham until the summer of 2025.
Tottenham’s management does not mind selling or loaning Reguilón, given that he is out of manager Ange Postecoglou’s plans, which was the reason for his two loans last season.
Reguilón played for Manchester United in the first half of last season, then returned to Tottenham and was loaned again to Brentford, where he performed fairly well.
The 28-year-old Reguilón is a product of Real Madrid’s academy, where he rose through the ranks of the royal club until he reached the first team and played 22 matches there.
