Former Real Madrid star on verge of joining Wydad Casablanca

Moroccan press reports have talked about the possibility of one of Real Madrid’s stars and legends joining Wydad in the coming period.

The talk here is about goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who has not moved to any club since leaving Nottingham Forest at the end of last season.

According to reports, one of the players’ agents offered Wydad to sign Navas, amid the Costa Rican goalkeeper’s welcome to the idea.

Navas’ welcome to move to Wydad specifically comes because of the opportunity for him to participate in the 2025 Club World Cup.

The only obstacle to the deal currently remains reaching an agreement between the goalkeeper and the Moroccan club regarding the salary, especially since the 39-year-old will likely request money that exceeds Wydad’s capabilities.

It is worth noting that Wydad has a difficult task ahead of it in the Club World Cup, as it is in the group of death with Manchester City, Juventus and Al Ain of the Emirates.
