France coach Didier Deschamps announced that Kylian Mbappe can participate with his country in the Netherlands match on Friday in the Euro 2024 competition.
The Real Madrid star suffered a broken nose during the match against Austria two days ago, which sparked controversy about the possibility of him completing the tournament with the roosters.
After the tests, it became clear that Mbappé could continue with France without needing to undergo surgery, provided that he wears a protective nose mask during training and matches.
Many question marks were raised about Mbappe’s ability to participate against the Netherlands, and Deschamps responded in the press conference before the match, saying, “Things went in the right direction and Mbappe is ready to participate in the match.”
He also added, “Yes, Mbappe will wear a mask. I don’t think you need to know the details of this mask.”
He concluded, “Everything is going well after the shock that Mbappe suffered. He was able to do some activities on Wednesday and participated in training on Thursday. He can play against the Netherlands.”
It is noteworthy that France beat Austria 1-0, while the Netherlands achieved an exciting victory over Poland with a score of 2-1, leaving them at the top of the group with 3 points each.
