George Baldock dies in his home pool

Greek authorities announced that Panathinaikos player, George Baldock, was found dead in his home pool in mysterious circumstances.

Baldock is only 31 years old, and played his last match for his team against Olympiacos two days ago, and no health problems were previously reported.

What happened and led to the player’s death has not been revealed, whether there were criminal reasons or death from a sudden heart attack.

Baldock is particularly famous for his experience with Sheffield United, where he wore the English club’s shirt in 219 matches in all competitions.

Baldock previously participated in 12 international matches with Greece, the last of which was during the international break last March.

Baldock moved to Panathinaikos last July on a free transfer, and played with his team 4 matches this season in all competitions.

It is worth noting that the Greek national team will wear a black armband during the two international break matches in mourning for Baldock’s soul.
