Goodbye Cristiano… Euro 2024 is the worst tournament in Ronaldo’s history!

The Portuguese national team exited the Euro 2024 tournament in the quarter-finals following its loss to France on penalties after the end of regular and extra time in a scoreless draw.

Thus, Cristiano Ronaldo’s career in the Euro ended, and the 2024 edition can be classified as the worst edition ever in the Don’s history as a player in general.

For the first time in his career, Ronaldo failed to score any goal in an international tournament with the Portugal national team, knowing that in every tournament he has participated in since 2004, he has scored at least a goal.

The 39-year-old’s contributions were limited to assisting Bruno Fernandes in the group stage against Turkey, in addition to scoring two penalty kicks.

It is clear how much Ronaldo has declined at the international level, as the France match was the ninth in which he failed to score any goal during international tournaments with Portugal.

The last goal Ronaldo scored was against Ghana in the 2022 World Cup in the group stage, after which he played 9 matches for 711 minutes, during which he did not succeed at all in scoring.

It remains unknown the fate of Ronaldo after bidding farewell to the Euro in terms of international retirement, and whether he intends to continue until the 2026 World Cup or whether he will move away after his failure in the German 2024 edition.
