Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, announced the absence of Nathan Ake for a long period from the stadiums due to injury.
The Dutch international underwent surgery last week on his foot due to pain that had been plaguing him for some time and he endured it to avoid missing Manchester City.
Guardiola said in the press conference before the Nottingham Forest match, “Ake will be out for 10 to 11 weeks at least.”
He added, “When you resort to surgery, it is because something went wrong. But it was important that he did it, he suffered a lot this season with pain in his foot.”
The duo Manuel Akanji and John Stones are also absent for about two months due to injury, so City only have Ruben Dias, Abdulkadir Husanov and Josko Gvardiol in the center of defense until next April.
It is noteworthy that City occupies the fourth place in the Premier League standings with 47 points, and is still competing in the advanced stages for the FA Cup title after being eliminated from the Champions League and the Carabao Cup.
