Guardiola confident of Manchester City’s win over Club Brugge

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has expressed his confidence that his team will win against Club Brugge in the last round of the first round of the Champions League.

After the defeat in the last round against Paris Saint-Germain, City have no choice but to win against Brugge to qualify for the round of 16 play-offs or be eliminated early from the Champions League.

Guardiola said in the press conference before the match, “The situation is clear, we have to win to continue in the tournament.”

He also added, “I appreciate everyone’s concerns, but I am confident that we are able to win and qualify for the round of 16 play-offs, I am not worried about that.”

As for the reasons behind City’s decline in Europe, Guardiola replied, “We are here for reasons we know, which is because we did not do our job well enough.”

He concluded, “I have played many times like this type of decisive matches since the beginning of my career, but I do not think about it and I am confident in our ability. I want to qualify for sporting reasons before financial reasons.”

City will go into the Club Brugge game in high spirits after beating Chelsea 3-1 in the Premier League to move up to fourth place.
