Only 48 hours were enough for Omar Marmoush to book his place in Manchester City’s list for Saturday’s match against Chelsea in the Premier League.
City officially announced the signing of Marmoush on Thursday, and questions abounded about the Egyptian star’s position regarding his direct participation in Chelsea’s next match.
In the press conference before the match on Friday, Pep Guardiola announced that Marmoush, as well as Victor Reyes and Abdulkadir Khusanov, will all be present against the Blues.
The new trio is expected to be on the bench, but Marmoush in particular may be pushed in the second half if necessary.
According to Guardiola, Manchester City’s absences against Chelsea will include Jeremy Doku and Ruben Dias due to injury.
City are fifth in the English Premier League standings with 38 points, while Chelsea are fourth with 40 points.
