Guardiola envies Liverpool: All teams suffer from injuries except them!

Pep Guardiola, Manchester City coach, considered that the injury crisis will continue to haunt all football clubs in light of the crowded schedule, indicating that there are no practical solutions to the crisis.

Manuel Akanji has been confirmed to be absent for two months and perhaps more from the stadiums due to a muscle injury he suffered in the match against Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 play-off.

Guardiola was asked about the injury crisis, to which he replied that everyone suffers from it except Liverpool!

The Spanish coach said, “It is normal for us to suffer from injuries during the season, but not this many.”

He also added, “I think it is not only Manchester City’s problem, there are Tottenham, Real Madrid and Arsenal who have the same situation, only Liverpool has stability and does not suffer from injuries.”

He concluded, “Klopp suffered from the same problem in the past, and the solution is to reduce the schedule, but that is impossible to happen, so the solution is to increase the number of players to 40 players in each team, but it is also impossible from an economic point of view.”

City are fourth in the Premier League, still in the FA Cup and face Real Madrid on Wednesday in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie after losing 3-2 in England.
