English media reports suggest that Al-Hilal’s management has inquired about the transfer value of Kyle Walker from Manchester City.
The “Blue Wave” is looking for a right-back to replace Saud Abdulhamid, who is on the verge of joining Roma.
Saudi press has mentioned Jeremy Frimpong, Bayer Leverkusen’s right-back, as Al-Hilal’s first choice.
However, recent reports indicate that the Saudi club’s management is considering Kyle Walker and has started negotiations with City to secure his services.
What confirms this news is Pep Guardiola’s statements, as the manager confirmed in the press conference before the Chelsea match the possibility of Joao Cancelo staying next season.
Many considered that Cancelo’s stay could be as a replacement for Walker’s departure, especially since the expected salary for the English international at Al-Hilal would be several times what he currently earns at the Etihad and consequently his desire would be to experience the Saudi league.
The 34-year-old’s contract with City runs until the summer of 2026, which should give the English club a strong negotiating position.
