Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola, praised Brentford coach Thomas Frank and considered him one of the best coaches in the world.
The Spanish coach’s statements came after his team’s difficult 2-1 victory over the London club on Saturday in the fourth round of the Premier League.
Guardiola said about the Danish coach, “It is a matter of time and we will see Thomas Frank coaching a big European team, it will definitely happen.”
He also added, “The club that signs him will really get an excellent coach, I am sure of that.”
Frank was linked to coaching Liverpool before Arne Slot, but the Reds’ management ultimately preferred to sign the Dutchman and have an experience outside the English Premier League.
Frank has an exceptional career with Brentford, as he returned the team to the Premier League and succeeded in staying for 3 seasons among the big teams while presenting entertaining football.
Perhaps Guardiola’s words may open the door for the Dane to become his replacement at Manchester City in the event that the Spaniard decides to leave at the end of his contract next June.
