Manchester City star Erling Haaland expressed his great disappointment with his team’s loss to Aston Villa 2-1, considering it one of the reasons for his team’s recent decline in results.
Despite scoring a large number of goals at the beginning of the season, Haaland has not found the net much recently, and has wasted many opportunities that have been the cause of severe criticism of him.
Haaland spoke after the match and said, “The team is very disappointed, we did not perform well enough, and here I am talking about myself as well.”
He also added, “I will talk about myself, I did not score the opportunities that were available to me, I must improve, I was not good enough, we all suffer from confidence and we realize how it can affect every person.”
As for the criticism directed at his coach, Pep Guardiola, he commented, “He has won the English Premier League 6 times in the last 7 years, we will never forget that, I am confident that he will find solutions.”
“Guardiola has always been there to solve every year and he will do that, we believe in him and now we have to work as hard as possible,” he concluded.
It is worth noting that Manchester City has dropped to sixth place in the Premier League with 27 points from 17 matches, and has lost 9 times in the last 12 matches in all competitions.
