Erling Haaland didn’t just score a goal in Manchester City’s win over Chelsea with a defensive error from Marc Cucurella to respond to the Spanish star’s mockery of him.
Cucurella had sung a song during Spain’s celebrations after winning the Euro 2024 title, mocking Erling Haaland.
In the first match of the season against Chelsea, Cucurella was unable to close the space behind him, and from there Haaland scored Manchester City’s first goal in a 2-0 win for Pep Guardiola’s team.
After the match, Haaland mocked Cucurella, saying, “Cucurella is a funny guy. Last season he asked for my shirt, and this summer he sang a song about me.”
It is worth mentioning that in Cucurella’s mocking song of Haaland, he said, “Haaland trembles when Cucurella comes.”
