Dani Olmo’s agent, Andy Barra, has confirmed that his client is feeling nervous and exhausted due to the crisis of his registration with Barcelona, but there is confidence that the Catalan club will find a solution to the crisis.
Friday is supposed to be Barcelona’s last chance to register Olmo, otherwise they will lose him for free this winter, especially with La Liga’s assurances that if he does not register he will not even be able to play for the Spanish national team.
Barra spoke about the crisis again, telling journalist Fabrizio Romano: “I am confident that Barcelona will end the matter successfully.”
He also added: “La Liga should help Barcelona instead of those reports that say that Dani will not be available for the national team, but I am confident that he will continue at Barcelona for years, it has been his desire for a long time to play for this club.”
He continued: “Dani’s feelings? It is a situation that makes him feel nervous, and it is exhausting for him as it is for any other player, he is a great person and tries to remain calm, but of course he likes to play matches and not watch them.”
“I reiterate that our position is firm, we have not negotiated with any other club, and Dani’s desire is to continue with Barcelona. It is true that a free transfer allows more money, but Dani has not made any decision for money.”
It is worth noting that if Barcelona loses Olmo’s services for free, they will have lost more than a quarter of a billion euros economically, in addition to the technical loss of not being able to replace him with another deal this winter.
