Historic comeback gives Bahrain the title of the 26th Gulf Cup at the expense of Oman (Video)

The Bahraini national team won the title of the 26th Gulf Cup after defeating the Omani national team 2-1 in the final match at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium.

The Omani Reds took the lead in the 17th minute through Abdulrahman Al-Mushafri, after which Bahrain clearly dominated the match, but amid a strong defensive performance from coach Rashid Jaber’s battalion..

In the last quarter of an hour, things turned completely upside down after Mohammed Marhoon scored a penalty kick in the 78th minute, equalizing for Bahrain, then Mohammed Al-Musalmi scored an own goal in the 80th minute.

Bahrain’s coronation with the title comes after a wonderful journey in the version held in Kuwait, as the Reds defeated all the big teams, and we are talking here about Saudi Arabia and Iraq in the groups, and Kuwait and then Oman in the final rounds.
