Mohamed Salah participated for the first time in the pre-season with his club Liverpool, where he finally met his new coach Arne Slot.
The Reds’ preparations for the new season began last Friday, but Salah’s involvement was delayed due to his participation with Egypt in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers last June, and with it he received a longer vacation time.
Now Salah, who spent his vacation in the alleys of Greece, has returned to Anfield, and it seemed clear from his first meeting with Slot that things are fine between the two parties, contrary to what is being promoted.
The Dutch coach embraced the Egyptian star, who only has one year left on his contract with Liverpool.
The English media had indicated with the appointment of Slot that the coach did not mind Salah’s departure, before this news returned and changed in the past few days.
The 31-year-old will remain in Liverpool at least for next season after Slot considered him a mainstay in his project and will not be allowed to leave, regardless of the financial temptations.
