Injury Strikes Al Ahly Star, Keeps Him Out of Al Hilal Match

Ahmed Nabil Kouka will miss Al Ahly’s match against Al Hilal of Sudan in the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarterfinals due to his failure to recover from the injury he sustained during the international break with the Egyptian national team.

Kouka, who started Egypt’s World Cup qualifier against Sierra Leone, suffered a minor injury that was expected to quickly recover and allow him to play in the upcoming Al Hilal match.

According to Egyptian media reports, Kouka has not fully recovered and is still experiencing some minor pain. Al Ahly’s management decided to keep him out of the match to prevent the injury from worsening and a prolonged absence.

The good news for Al Ahly is the return of Yahya Attiyat Allah after a long absence. With him and Karim El-Dabbas, there is no shortage of left-back options.

In midfield, there are Imam Ashour, Marwan Attia, Ahmed Reda, and Amr El-Sulaya, which reassures Marcel Koller and his squad about this position in an important match like the Al Hilal match.

Al Ahly will be absent from the Al Hilal match, in addition to Kouka, represented by Ali Maaloul, Omar Al-Saai, Taher Mohamed Taher, Khaled Abdel Fattah, and Karim Fouad, for reasons ranging from injury to not being registered in Africa.
