Isco has apologised to Real Madrid fans after celebrating his goal for Real Betis against the royal club.
Isco had a great game against Los Blancos, setting up one goal and scoring another to lead Betis to a 2-1 win at the Benito Villamarín.
Isco spoke after the match about his celebration, saying: “Real Madrid is always in my heart, I am grateful to them for helping me achieve all the dreams I had.”
He also added about the reason for his celebration: “My wife was on the pitch and I am recording a short film about how I recovered from the injury, I apologise to the Real Madrid fans and I will always be grateful to them.”
He concluded: “The victory was very difficult and I am really exhausted, Real Madrid have great players, and winning is a team effort, you cannot defeat them alone.”
Isco played for Real Madrid between 2013 and 2022, and played 353 games for Los Blancos, during which he scored 53 goals and made 58 others, while achieving many achievements, most notably the Champions League title 5 times.
