Egyptian media reported that Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim “Kahraba” wants to leave Al-Ahly in the upcoming winter transfer period.
Kahraba has been subjected to a lot of criticism recently for his declining performance, specifically due to his performance in the Pachuca match in the Intercontinental Cup semi-final, which prevented Al-Ahly from qualifying for the final match.
In light of Kahraba’s tense relationship with Al-Ahly fans, the player prefers to leave the Red Castle in January on loan until things calm down.
At the same time, the 30-year-old player is clearly aware that he is out of coach Marcel Koller’s calculations, and he will have almost no opportunities to participate except as a substitute for a few minutes.
Al-Ahly’s management, for its part, welcomes the idea of loaning Kahraba in the winter, but so far the player has not received any official offers from clubs inside or outside Egypt.
Kahraba stresses that his departure will be on loan and will guarantee his return to Al-Ahly once things calm down and he regains his usual level.
If the former Zamalek player is loaned, it will be the second time he has left Al-Ahly in this manner, after his previous loan to Hatayspor in Turkey in 2022.
