The current edition was the second edition in which Club led the Reds in the European League, after the first in 2015, when he lost the final to Sevilla.
At the same time, Liverpool’s hopes of achieving the historic treble ended by bidding farewell to the European League, so that the Red Club’s only and last hope for the remainder of the season was the Premier League title.
Liverpool currently occupies third place in the Premier League standings, two points behind leaders Manchester City, and on par with runner-up Arsenal, with the Gunners having an advantage on goal difference.
It is noteworthy that Liverpool won the Carabao Cup after defeating Chelsea in the final match at Wembley Stadium.
