Jules Kounde took responsibility for his mistake, and confirmed that he understood that it was one of the main reasons for Barcelona’s slump in a 2-2 draw with Celta Vigo.
While Barça were leading 2-0 at Balaídos and on the verge of taking the three points, Kounde made a mistake and gave Celta Vigo the goal that was followed by the equaliser in the 86th minute.
After the match, Kounde told the media, “I had a bad game, we paid the price for the lack of concentration, and I take responsibility for this mistake that put us in a difficult position.”
He added, “I take responsibility, and the mistake that came after that in their first goal, but we must not give up.”
He concluded, “It is an experience that we all learn from, we did not play well in the last two games, we must return to our level, now we must remain united.”
With Barcelona’s draw, Real Madrid could reduce the gap with the Blaugrana to one point if they win against Leganes and then in their postponed match against Valencia.
