Former Real Madrid star Toni Kroos joked with the club’s stars and asked them to leave him the 2024 Ballon d’Or.
The German star was included in the list of 30 players nominated for the Ballon d’Or after the amazing performances he showed with Real Madrid and the German national team last season.
Kroos retired from football after the end of his journey with Germany in Euro 2024, which is why he asked the other 6 Real Madrid players nominated to let him win the Ballon d’Or.
Kroos wrote on his Instagram account with a picture of the Real Madrid players nominated for the award, “You can win it next year.”
In addition to Kroos, Real Madrid nominees include Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Federico Valverde, Dani Carvajal, Antonio Rudiger and Kylian Mbappe.
The identity of the Ballon d’Or winner is scheduled to be announced on Monday, October 28, and Vinicius Junior is currently the closest to winning the award.
