German football legend Jens Lehmann launched a violent attack on Germany national team player Robert Andrich because of the color of his hair.
Andrich started Euro 2024 with Julian Nagelsmann’s squad with his natural blonde hair color, before suddenly changing it in the knockout rounds to pink.
This angered Lehmann, who believes what the Bayer Leverkusen player did should be banned in football.
The historic Arsenal goalkeeper said, “What does Andrich want us to see from changing his hair color?”
He also added, “Nowadays you have to be careful, because maybe he feels like a woman or something like that. You have to be very tolerant.”
He continued his attack, “Does he have personal problems that he must highlight in this way? His hair was blonde and now it is pink. What is he trying to show us?”
He continued, “As a teammate, I would have found it very strange, and I don’t think the coach thinks it’s great either.”
“What if the opposing goalkeeper is wearing a pink jersey? The color pink is very bright and quite annoying on a football field.”
He concluded, “I expect UEFA to ban hair colors like Andrich’s hair color because this leads to confusion among opponents.”
