Kylian Mbappé reignited the battle for the 2025 La Liga top scorer title with his brace against Villarreal in Round 28 of La Liga.
Mbappé’s total goal contributions this season, in his first season with Real Madrid, have reached 34 goals, scoring 30 and assisting 4.
In La Liga, the French international has scored 20 goals, closing in on Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski.
The Polish international had impressive performances at the start of the season, and the gap between him and Mbappé was significant in terms of numbers. However, his tally has declined significantly recently.

Mbappé has closed the gap between himself and Lewandowski to just one goal for the 36-year-old, with 10 rounds remaining in La Liga.
Lewandowski will play Barcelona vs. Atletico Madrid on Sunday, a new opportunity for him to move a little closer to the top spot.
