Sport newspaper confirmed that Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski was seen suffering from an injury after the Poland and Croatia match in the European Nations League.
Lewandowski participated in the exciting match that ended in a 3-3 draw on Tuesday, from start to finish, but it appears that he has picked up an injury.
According to the latest report, the 36-year-old was limping as he left the match field, which raised speculation that he had suffered an injury that could deprive Barça of his services for a period.
Lewandowski simply told the press, “My leg is fine,” but he is expected to undergo further tests in the coming hours to determine the extent of his injury and whether he will need to rest.
Initially, it is likely that coach Hansi Flick will rest Lewandowski against Sevilla next week, so that he is ready for the two upcoming summits against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
So far, there is no risk to Lewandowski’s participation in the Champions League match or the Clasico, unless tests reveal otherwise.
