Liverpool’s new coach, Arne Slot, has asked the Reds management to sign Real Madrid’s young star Arda Guler during the current summer Mercato.
News of Liverpool’s interest in signing Guler comes hours after what Radio Marca reported about Real Madrid management’s desire to take Guler out on loan for at least a year.
According to the “Team Talk” network, Slot admires Guler’s abilities very much, and believes that the 19-year-old can explode a lot at Anfield if he participates constantly.
There is great optimism within the English club that the deal can be concluded, especially since Real Madrid does not mind Guler leaving, but under certain conditions.
Over the course of last season, the Turkish international did not play much with Real Madrid due to injuries and the large number of players, and with the arrival of Kylian Mbappé and Endrik, the situation is expected to get worse for Güler, no matter how great Carlo Ancelotti’s reassurances to him are.
Liverpool is not the only club interested in including Guler, as there are many Spanish clubs seeking this, most notably Real Sociedad, to whom Real Madrid very much welcomes loaning Guler due to his previous experiences in developing players such as Kubo and Martin Odegaard.
