The English club is willing to offer the right-back a weekly salary of €360,000, which would make him one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League.
Overall, if Arnold agrees to Liverpool’s offer, his total earnings over the 5-year contract (the duration of the new deal) would amount to €93 million.
This offer is similar to the one made by Real Madrid to Arnold last March, making the situation balanced, with the chances of the player staying now equal to the chances of him leaving.
Liverpool is also enticing Arnold with another factor besides money: he would become the first captain of the Reds once Virgil van Dijk departs.
Initially, Arnold has decided that he does not want to leave Liverpool this winter, but he has not yet made a final decision regarding whether to renew his contract or embark on a new experience with Real Madrid.
It is worth noting that Spanish media confirmed that the Spanish club had made an official offer of €15 million, which they were willing to increase to €25 million to sign Arnold this winter, but Liverpool completely rejected it.
