Sky Sports confirmed that Liverpool’s management rejects, in form and substance, the idea of making a specific exchange deal with Real Madrid next summer.
The English club has wanted to sign Aurelien Tchouameni for some time, while Real Madrid’s management has welcomed the sale of the player following his decline in performance in recent months.
The idea of Liverpool obtaining Tchouameni’s services was raised in exchange for the Reds’ star this season, Ryan Gravenberch.
According to the report, Liverpool’s management does not intend in any way to give up Gravenberch after he became one of the most important players in coach Arne Slot’s squad.
Despite the temptation of the idea of signing Tchouameni, the English club is determined to be a support for Granberch in the midfield, and not to give up the Dutchman to sign him.
Liverpool’s chances of winning the French international remain, given that Real will be forced to sell at least one player next summer to balance its economic accounts.
But in this case, Liverpool will have to pay at least 60 million euros, knowing that Tchouameni joined Real from Monaco in 2023 for 80 million euros.
