Liverpool officials have definitively closed the door in the face of any attempts by Real Madrid to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold during the current winter Mercato.
Real was willing to pay 25 million euros to sign Arnold this winter and solve the clear crisis in the right-back position, instead of signing him for free next summer.
As confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool was very clear that Arnold will stay until the end of his contract and will not leave no matter what offer was made to him this winter.
The Reds also did not lose hope of reaching an agreement with the England international to renew his contract, although so far Real Madrid is the closest to obtaining his services next summer.
Radio Marca had revealed earlier this month that Arnold had already signed his transfer contracts to Real Madrid starting next summer.
For his part, Arnold did not say anything in this regard, and was content to confirm that he is currently focusing on Liverpool in order to achieve all possible championships this season.
Liverpool are currently top of the Premier League, having reached the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup and the fourth round of the FA Cup, as well as the last 16 of the Champions League.
