Mundo Deportivo reported that Liverpool star Darwin Nunez is hinting in one way or another that he wants to move to Barcelona next summer.
The Uruguayan star is suffering from a huge attack against him by Liverpool fans, against the backdrop of his decline in performance in the recent decisive period of the Premier League struggle this season.
The first step by Nunez to express his anger at Liverpool and his desire to leave was to delete all of his photos in a Reds shirt from his Instagram account.
Hours later, Nunez traveled to Barcelona, where he met his close friend and Catalan club star Ronald Araujo.
Araujo posted a picture on his Instagram account with Nunez in Barcelona, and wrote on it, “My brother.”
Spanish media recently indicated that Barcelona may be interested in including Nunez as part of its search for a striker to succeed Robert Lewandowski in the future.
Barca’s task will be very difficult to include Nunez next summer, as his contract is still extended at Anfield until the summer of 2028, and the Reds will ask for a huge sum to agree to sell him.
Nunez, 24, joined Liverpool from Benfica in the summer of 2022 for 85 million euros, and since then he has scored 33 goals and assisted 17 others in 94 matches in all tournaments.
