The Liverpool Echo network revealed that new Liverpool coach Arne Slot does not mind Mohamed Salah leaving the Reds next summer.
The Egyptian star’s contract is still extended until the summer of 2025, and he indirectly announced that he will not leave in the next Mercato, despite the presence of huge Saudi offers on his table.
According to the latest report, Slot welcomes Salah’s stay, but at the same time he does not consider him “untouchable,” meaning that if a good offer is available, there is no objection to selling him.
Slott believes that if Salah does not renew his contract, it is better for him to leave next summer to make some money behind him instead of leaving for free in the summer of 2025.
The Dutch coach believes in the necessity of reducing the average age within Liverpool, and given that Salah has reached the age of 31, he is not essential in his calculations for the future of the English club.
It remains unknown how Salah and his controversial agent Rami Abbas will react to this matter, but what is most likely is that the situation will not change from what it is and the Egyptian player will continue at Anfield for another year.
It remains to be noted that Liverpool has not yet announced its position on the renewal of Salah, and with Slot’s opinion, it may be logical that the club will not offer a renewal to the player again.
