Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has expressed his hopes that Vinicius Junior will win the 2024 Ballon d’Or.
The award will be presented on October 28 at a grand ceremony in the French capital, Paris, amidst a fierce competition between Vinicius, Rodri and Kylian Mbappe.
Although Ederson has a strong relationship with Rodri due to them sharing a dressing room at Manchester City, he hopes that his compatriot Vinicius will win the award.
Ederson told TNT, “I hope Vinicius wins the Ballon d’Or this year.”
He added, “I think Vinicius is the most deserving of the award given what he achieved last season.”
As for Rodri, he said, “I would also be very happy if Rodri won it.”
It is worth noting that initial reports suggest that Vinicius Junior will win the award, becoming the fifth Brazilian player to win the Ballon d’Or in history.
