Manchester United have succeeded in reaching an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain to sign Manuel Ugarte.
Since the beginning of the summer, negotiations have begun between the Red Devils’ management and the player, and the agreement with him was very easy due to his desire to join Old Trafford.
However, over the past month, the only obstacle to Ugarte’s arrival at United was Paris Saint-Germain due to its high financial demands.
The French club initially wanted to obtain an amount ranging between 60 and 80 million euros, but negotiations in the past hours led to a different result.
United will pay only 50 million euros to sign the Uruguayan midfielder, in addition to another 10 million in variables, bringing the total value of the deal to 60 million euros.
Ugarte will be the replacement for Scott McTominay, after the Scottish player agreed with Napoli, and the English club will pay 30 million euros to obtain his services.
The 23-year-old is United’s fourth major signing of the summer after the English club signed Joshua Zirkzee, Lenny Yoro and Bayern Munich duo Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.
