Manchester United’s summer transfer market moves continue, with the latest news indicating that they are close to signing Paris Saint-Germain star Manuel Ugarte.
The Red Devils have already added Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna and Lenny Yoro from Lille, and Ugarte looks set to be their third major signing this summer.
According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, United have already agreed personal terms with Ugarte, and the player is very keen on joining Old Trafford.
Despite the Red Devils not participating in the Champions League next season, the Uruguayan international is convinced by United’s sporting project and wants to join Erik ten Hag’s squad.
At the same time, Paris Saint-Germain are not against selling Ugarte as they are looking to sign 19-year-old João Neves from Benfica.
United and Paris Saint-Germain are currently in talks, with the French club initially asking for €70 million to sell Ugarte.
It is expected that this figure will be lowered somehow, and there is a possibility that the deal could be a loan with an option to buy next season.
It is worth noting that Ugarte, 23, joined PSG last summer for €60 million.
