The Mirror newspaper reported that Liverpool star Mohamed Salah no longer prefers to move to the Saudi League if he leaves the Reds at the end of his contract next summer.
The Egyptian international has received more than one Saudi offer over the past two years, however, he has preferred to continue with Liverpool so far, and his future beyond the summer of 2025 remains unclear.
According to the British newspaper, Salah does not want to move to the Saudi League so that what happened to his former Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane does not happen to him recently.
Mane’s name has declined significantly after leaving Bayern Munich to Al-Nasr, and the player’s “reputation” as one of the best players in the world is no longer what it was before.
Salah, 32, prefers to maintain his value among the world’s top players, regardless of the Saudi financial temptations, so he is inclined to either stay in Liverpool or move to another European club.
It is reported that Liverpool is expected to move in the coming period to negotiate a new contract for Salah, and the player is already receiving interest from more than one European club, and it is said that Chelsea in particular wants to sign him.
