Mascherano Reveals Messi’s Injury Update

Inter Miami coach Javier Mascherano announced that Lionel Messi will be ready to participate in his team’s upcoming match against Philadelphia United after completing his recovery from his recent injury.

Messi missed the recent international break with the Argentine national team after suffering a minor muscle injury during last week’s match against Atlanta United.

Mascherano spoke about Messi’s current condition, saying, “Leo is fine, and God willing and nothing strange happens, he will be included in the squad for the Philadelphia match.”

He added, “We’ve dealt with the situation gradually. Leo is a very special player in this regard, and he needs to be restrained so he doesn’t risk playing while injured.”

He concluded, “Messi knows his body well, so he’s been training increasingly and gradually. He’s been participating more in recent training sessions, and if nothing happens, he’ll participate fully in the final training session.”

It’s worth noting that Messi has participated with Inter Miami in five matches between the MLS and CONCACAF Champions League, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
