Arsenal and France legend Robert Pires has urged his compatriot Kylian Mbappe to move to Liverpool rather than Real Madrid when he leaves Paris Saint-Germain at the end of this season.
Peres revealed in statements reported by AS newspaper that he had previously refused to join Real Madrid, and that Mbappe can now repeat what he did and will have a wonderful career without crises.
The Frenchman said, “Sorry Kylian, you will not be the first to reject Real Madrid. I did it before when I had two other options, which were Arsenal and Juventus.”
He also added, “I don’t know what decision Mbappe will make, but he can simply reject Real Madrid.”
He concluded, “I would like to see him at Liverpool. It is a wonderful club, there is no pressure, and the fans are calm. I say that the Mbappe-Salah duo would be legendary.”
The English media had confirmed that Liverpool had withdrawn early from the struggle to include Mbappe, given the huge cost expected to include the 25-year-old.
