After reaffirming the strength of his relationship with Vinicius Junior and the rest of the Real Madrid players, Kylian Mbappé revealed what surprised him most at the royal club over the past 3 months.
The French international’s statements came after leading Real to a 3-0 win over Leganes in La Liga, a match in which he scored his first goal in 4 matches.
After the match, Mbappé was asked again about his relationship with Vinicius, to which he replied, “My relationship is very good with him and with all the Real Madrid players, Vinicius and I are ready to play together in many matches and win many titles for the club.”
As for what impressed him most at Real, Mbappé said, “I am really surprised because I did not know the great quality of the Castilla players (Real Madrid Academy).”
Mbappé specifically referred to promising star Raul Asensio, who played for the second consecutive match with the Real Madrid first team to compensate for Eder Militao’s cruciate ligament injury.
Over the past few years, Real Madrid Castilla has produced many distinguished young players, and the club’s management is currently leaning on its youth rather than making big and expensive deals.
