After scoring a hat-trick against Valladolid, Kylian Mbappe has become “better” numerically than the legend Cristiano Ronaldo for Real Madrid.
The French international needed only 19 matches to score his first hat-trick with Real Madrid, unlike Ronaldo who needed 27 matches to do so.
Mbappe’s superiority over Ronaldo may not stop there, but he is likely to reach the total number of goals he scored in his first season with the Merengue shirt.
The Portuguese international scored 32 goals in his first season with Real Madrid, the best start for any player in the royal club’s shirt throughout history.
But it seems that the Don’s record will soon be broken, as after a little more than half of the season, Mbappe has scored 22 goals, and given his scoring rate, he will undoubtedly surpass Ronaldo’s number of goals soon.
Mbappe suffered the same thing that Ronaldo did at the beginning of his career with Real Madrid, harsh criticism for a relative decline in level, then he exploded and gave everything he had, just as was the case with his idol in 2009.
It is worth noting that Mbappe, 25 years old, is currently the second top scorer in La Liga, one goal behind Robert Lewandowski, and he is the most scoring contributor to the Merengue with 24 goals in all competitions.
