Kylian Mbappé, the star of Paris Saint-Germain, confirmed that his decision about his future will not be affected by his team’s success in achieving the Champions League or not, stressing that he is determined to make a decision and nothing will change it.
Mbappe’s statements came after the double he scored against Barcelona, which led PSG to a 4-1 win and advance to the “With Ears” semi-finals to face Borussia Dortmund.
Mbappe, whose contract expires at the end of this season, is close to moving to Real Madrid for free, but some reports said that he may stay if Paris succeeds in Europe this season.
The French player responded by saying, “No, no, no, I will not change my mind about my future because of the Champions League.”
He also added, “I am proud to play for Paris Saint-Germain. Representing my country’s capital club is something special for someone like me who grew up in the city.”
He concluded, “Certainly my dream is to win the Champions League with Paris. Today is a great day in the club’s history. We are finally taking another step towards our dream.”
Mbappe’s official announcement about his next step in his career will be postponed until Paris exits the Champions League, or at the end of the season, according to what was confirmed by French media.
