Kylian Mbappe extinguished the fierce criticism of his performance with Real Madrid, after he succeeded in leading the Merengue to victory against Real Betis in the fourth round of La Liga.
The French international participated in the first three matches against Real Mallorca, Valladolid and Las Palmas, and failed to score or assist, which led to negative reactions against him.
Finally, Mbappe was able to score his first local goal with Real, as well as the first at the Santiago Bernabeu, after a magical pass from Fede Valverde, which he converted into Betis’ net in the 67th minute.
The 25-year-old did not stop there, but scored his team’s second goal, which secured the three points, from a penalty kick in the 74th minute.
This match was a golden opportunity for Mbappe to respond to criticism on the one hand, and to close doubts about what is said about problems and crises between him and Vinicius Junior.
The Brazilian international left him to take the penalty kick, and celebrated with him in his own way afterwards, thus dispelling all the rumors of disagreements between the exceptional duo.
It is worth noting that Mbappe’s brace against Betis increases his number of goals with Real Madrid to 3 goals after he scored a goal in his first match with Carlo Ancelotti’s squad against Atalanta in the European Super Cup.
