Happiness was etched on Kylian Mbappé’s face during his legendary presentation at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, but it seems that he has not forgotten the pressure he was put under by his former team Paris Saint-Germain to stay in the French league.
Mbappé said during his speech to Real Madrid fans at his presentation: “I dreamed of playing for Real Madrid for a long time, and today that dream has come true and I am very happy and I want to thank President Florentino Perez who has trusted me since day one.”
He added: “I see my mother crying, it’s a historic day for me and my family too, we are all overjoyed because I have finally been able to achieve my dream.”
He continued: “I thank everyone for being here at the stadium today, and now I start my other dream of living up to this club, I am at the best club in the world and I promise you that I will give my all for this team and the badge.”
Mbappé concluded his speech with a subtle dig at Paris Saint-Germain by saying: “It was difficult but we won in the end, I am a Real Madrid player finally.”
