Kylian Mbappe’s lawyer, Marie-Alex Bernard, confirmed that her client is shocked by the strange media attention to his alleged involvement in a rape case.
Mbappe spent a break in the Swedish capital, Stockholm, before news spread from the press there that he was a suspect in a rape case.
The French international denied this news via his account on the X platform, and hinted that Paris Saint-Germain was the one who spread it before a government hearing between the two parties regarding the player’s delayed dues.
Mbappe’s lawyer also spoke to the media in response to what happened and said, “He will not expose himself to any dangerous situation, I completely rule out that he has acted in this way.”
She added, “Mbappe is completely calm because he knows that he did nothing, but he is also shocked by the media coverage of this news.”
She continued, “In the end, it is just a complaint that does not prove or deny anything, we do not know yet who this complaint is directed against in the first place.”
“Mbappe goes to training normally, because I have nothing bad to blame himself for at all,” she concluded.
