Kylian Mbappe has promised Real Madrid’s next opponent, Stuttgart, that he will perform better against them than he has in the rest of the club’s matches so far.
The French international’s statements came after he scored a penalty kick in Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Real Sociedad on Saturday in the fifth round of La Liga.
Real Madrid will begin their campaign to defend their Champions League title against Stuttgart at the Santiago Bernabéu, and Mbappe commented, “I came to Real Madrid to live these moments.”
He also added, “The Champions League is a very important tournament, I am very focused on winning and starting it well.”
He continued, “In every match I improve more and I understand what the team needs from me, I am sure that I will be better on Tuesday, we want to win against Stuttgart.”
Vinicius Junior took a penalty kick and then Mbappé took the other, and the latter commented on that by saying: “It doesn’t matter who takes the kicks, the important thing is that they become goals.”
He concluded: “Vinicius is a really great player and I am very happy to play with him. We try to look for each other in matches and training to create a connection that helps the team.”
