French press reports stated that Kylian Mbappe is in the process of buying a French club with the help of his family. Coincidentally, this club one day wanted to sign a contract with the current Real Madrid star.
According to the French out Ouest-France newspaper, this club is Caen, which is currently active in the French second division.
An American company owned a majority stake in Caen, but decided to sell the club, and in light of the process of searching for new investors, the Mbappé family appeared to achieve this goal.
Negotiations between the two parties are in very advanced stages, and Mbappe is supposed to officially take over the club within the next few weeks, and the value of purchasing the shares of American investors has not been revealed yet.
Caen wanted to include Mbappe after he emerged as a child at Clarif in 2013, but the club’s relegation to the second division and the lack of stability in it made the player’s family prefer his move to Monaco at that time.
Officially, Mbappe will not have anything to do with the management of the club, but rather his mother, Fayza Lamari, will take care of everything, and perhaps the player’s role will be limited only to financing.
