Real Madrid revealed in an official statement that Kylian Mbappe suffered an injury to the biceps muscle of the left thigh.
Mbappe had left the Alaves match on Tuesday at his own request after feeling pain in his left thigh.
The French international underwent comprehensive examinations on Wednesday evening at Real Madrid’s headquarters in Valdebebas, after which Real Madrid’s statement came out announcing the nature of his injury without specifying the duration of his absence.
According to Spanish media later, Mbappe will be out of action for at least 3 weeks.
It has become certain that the 25-year-old will not participate in the Madrid derby against Atletico Madrid, scheduled for next week at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
Mbappe’s absence from Real Madrid in the matches against Lille and Villarreal has also been confirmed, in addition to his absence with the French national team in the upcoming international break.
Mbappe will do everything he can to return after the stoppage in the Celta Vigo match scheduled for October 19 to complete his preparations for the Clasico that will be held the following week at the Santiago Bernabéu.
