Kylian Mbappe continued his explosion with Real Madrid, this time in the Champions League, after scoring a hat-trick against Manchester City.
The French international scored a goal in the first leg of the round of 16 play-off match, which ended 3-2 for Los Blancos at the Etihad Stadium, then scored a hat-trick in the second leg on Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
The start was early, as Mbappe took advantage of a perfect pass from Raul Asensio behind the City defence to put the ball into the net over the advancing goalkeeper Ederson in the 4th minute.

The first goal was wonderful, but it was not as wonderful as the second goal, during which Mbappe dribbled past Josko Gvardiol in a tight space and then fired a powerful shot into Ederson’s net in the 33rd minute.

This hat-trick took Mbappe to a very exceptional number, as he now has 501 goal contributions, scoring 358 goals and creating 142 others while still only 26 years old, as if he is following in the footsteps of his idol Cristiano Ronaldo.
Meanwhile, Mbappe has become the top scorer for teams coached by Pep Guardiola in the Champions League, with 7 goals, level with Lionel Messi.
