Kylian Mbappe’s mother, Fayza Lamari, has tried to speak diplomatically about her son’s outstanding fees with Paris Saint-Germain, stressing that he has never lied to the French club or its president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
Mbappe’s outstanding fees for the last 3 months at Paris Saint-Germain, along with a large loyalty bonus, are still being withheld by Al-Khelaifi’s decision, prompting Lamari to clearly threaten that she may resort to legal action to take her son’s rights.
“Negotiations are ongoing between us and Paris,” Mbappe’s mother said in statements to Le Parisien. “I trust Paris and that things will return to normal.”
“What happened is like a divorce,” she added. “When we break up, we only think about the negative things. It’s like when you have to decide who will take the TV and who will keep the furniture or the car.”
When asked about resorting to legal action, she said clearly, “If we have no other choice, yes we will resort to it. I hope we don’t have to do that and that Paris respects the contract signed between us and them two years ago.”
“Kylian has never lied to Al-Khelaifi,” she concluded. “He told him more than once that he would move to Real Madrid. If it hadn’t been Real Madrid, the player would never have left Paris.”
