Inter Miami star Lionel Messi admitted that he misses life in Barcelona a lot, noting that his family also wishes to return to live in Catalonia again.
Since moving from Argentina as a child, Messi has lived in Barcelona for more than 20 years, before leaving in the summer of 2021 to Paris and now to Miami, USA.
Messi was asked in a press interview about Barcelona, to answer, saying, “My children were born here, and I have lived my entire life here as well, I always feel that I belong to Barcelona.”
He also added, “My family and I always think about the possibility of returning to live in Barcelona one day.”
He continued, “My wife, my children and I miss our life in Barcelona a lot, we also miss our many friends there.”
When Messi was asked about the Barcelona team this season and its good condition, he replied, “I follow Barcelona constantly, they are performing great and for me, I am not surprised at all by that.”
It is noteworthy that Messi will return to Barcelona for the first time since his departure in 2021 in order to participate in the club’s celebrations of its founding anniversary, which may be considered the beginning of an attempt by Joan Laporta’s administration to improve its relationship with the flea.
