There is no doubt that December 18, 2022, was the happiest day in Lionel Messi’s life, after he led his country Argentina to win the World Cup at Lusail Stadium.

The flea scored two goals and a penalty kick in Argentina’s victory over France in the final on penalties after the match ended in a 3-3 draw.

Messi posted a picture of himself with a World Cup model while drinking his favorite drink, “mate”.

The Inter Miami star wrote, “I love December and I love Christmas.”

He added, “Two years ago, the last month of the year could have been bitter.”

He concluded, “December ended up being the best month of my career.”

Messi’s wife, Antonella, posted a photo of him with the World Cup to commemorate the second anniversary of the coronation and wrote on it “My hero”

Messi is currently preparing to lead the Argentine national team again in the 2026 World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in America, Canada and Mexico, although he has not yet confirmed his participation.

The 36-year-old’s contract with his current club, Inter Miami, extends until the end of next season, and he is in the process of renewing for another year to stay until the end of the 2026 World Cup.
